It's been a struggle. And today has been especially crummy, which was a big disappointment considering it is my b-day (shhhh, don't tell anyone).

It sucks when you try to plan and have something scheduled on an important day, only to have the other party bail on you. I relied on the wrong person, I guess.

So, here I am, 35 and A-L-O-N-E.

~ ~ I'd shout Happy Berfdeeeeeee in the subject line, but not sure if your above "shhh" is serious.

Happpppppeeeeeeeee Berfdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Jammer.

~ A friend of my son's recently had the same thing happen. Her best friend was supposed to be getting together with her. It was her 21st Birthday....and she was alone. My son, sweetie that he is, had to go to Toronto & I drove him & didn't get back 'til late, but he bought her a cake & we picked her up & she went back to his house. I just thought how very sad to have people 'bail' on your birthday. It's happened to my son also in the past. I just don't understand people sometimes.

~ Well, you obviously had us guys thinking of you hunee. I hope you can do some things you like....do you have any yummy food or drinks around? (Can you go out & pick some up, if not?)

Can you watch a favourite show or video? Or put on favourite music & have a bubble bath with candles, or something pampering?

Wish you lived closer & I'd come over, or take you out for a snack.

xoxoxoxoxoxxoxo much love & thanks for posting.

You're special....much too special to be going through this.

love & hugs, Kath

Felicitations on your natal day.

I'm sorry it wasn't a "happy" birthday. :(

I'm sorry your friend bailed, but can you do something nice for yourself today to make up for it? A special birthday present for you? A long bubblebath? A meal at a restaurant you've been wanting to try?

I hope you have a very happy Unbirthday today.

I remember it being in Alice in Wonderland, though I am not sure it originated there.
