I just learned my uncle is staying on vacation a couple of more days. We are running out of supplies and have to go running around before shift to get them on top of a 10 hour day and no we are not being paid to run around. I've been working since last Weds with no break or breaks. I am the only cashier so I have to eat my food while still at the cash. I'm tired. I want a break. My feet hurt.

Someone help me! How do I cope with no break? I'm tired! Thank goodness there is Internet here or else I'd go insane.
I wanna go home and sit on the sofa.

Anyone who reads his, please just let me know you read it. I feel so alone.
I know I am complaining, but my feet hurt! I want to go home and sit down.

When I worked retail and worked (too) long hours, my feet seemed to be happier when I remembered to bring an alternate pair of shoes with me. Even if I wore one pair for 5 hours, then the other for 5, then back to the originals for the last bit, it helped my feet and my back to mix it up.
Can you call home and have someone bring a pair of sneakers to you?

Thanks so much for responding PC, just knowing someone is listening helps me. No one can bring me another pair of shoes, but I just took some Tylenol and it seems to be helping some.
Walking around pacing back and forth also seems to help. It's the standing in one place that kills my feet.
My big toes are numb.

Standing in one place IS the worst. It hurts a lot.
Soak your feet when you get home tonight no matter how tired you are, and rub some lotion in to massage them.pc

I'm pretty sure I have flat feet. My feet don't really have an arch. Plus I think there is some protonation or something. Maybe I'll try orthotics one day. Walking seems to relieve the pain. I was actually able to sit on a little stool for a bit and that actually hurt my feet more. Weird.

Deneb kind of joking but if you were a nurse you'd never sit you'd run around for hours. Only for the young. Love Phillipa

I just told my Mom my feet hurt a lot and I had to take 3 Advils for the pain and she said if she had known that she would have taken the Advil away from me. What does she mean by this? Does she want me to suffer?
Advil isn't even addictive.
