Sweetness happens when you really need it

Posted by Glydin 00 on August 13, 2009, at 21:35:37

My husband and I just had a wonderful encounter with our future Son-in-Law asking us if he could have our blessing and permission to propose to our daughter. Old fashioned but was very, very sweet. He was, bless him, so nervous and we aren't folks noted for making anyone nervous....

The proposal is to happen on Sat. on a weekend trip they are taking. I am sure there will be a "Yes" to the question and I'm looking forward to the late night call to tell us.

The ring is beautiful... he's a great guy who loves her and has already proved his devotion to her and her wellbeing. We, as her parents, can't ask for more than that.

I am so very excited...

Please wish all of us well if you are so inclined.
