I know he sure could use continued support as his last month and a half has been more than challenging and now this wretched fever he's dealing with.
He asked me to post an update for folks. Not sure how long he'll be in hospital for.
Thanks for all the support thus far. I know it makes a difference and he'll probably really appreciate it when he's out and able to use the computer again. He's rather isolated in the hospital without a cell phone or computer. :(
Nothing has been said about H1N1 so let's all hope it isn't anything to do with the piggy flu.

It's awful how these things all happen one after the other.
I'll continue to keep him in my thoughts.

Poor Phil! His fever keeps going back up into the high 103 range daily. Several antibiotics later and still not enough response. His shivering has been so severe it feels almost like seizures. He's going for a catscan today to rule out more things.
He's under the care of a good doctor and a group of interns. Hopefully they can figure out what's causing this fever to continue cycling each day.
Continued good thoughts and wishes for Phil and his worried brothers.
I've read the messages to him by phone and he was very grateful for the support.
Thank you babblers for stepping up to the plate for one of our veteran babblers. He's sure been there for many of us over the years. It is wonderful to see that kind of support returned in kind when he's in such need right now.

May these docs uncover and nip this bugger in the bud ---well, it may be a bit past bud point---but...
And after that's taken care of, may many well-deserved blessings come your way.

He was being released and a nurse came to take his temperature one more time and it was back up to 103ish again. :( Poor Phil!
He said the nurse told him to count on another night in hospital. He's darn near stir crazy from the up and down of the constant fevers.
He's had a couple visitors which have brightened the mood some and one brought his cell phone charger so he's back in touch with the world again. I know he's missing his computer connection to here and his other boads. Just as we are all missing him.
Until he's back online I'll keep reading him this thread by phone when I call him. He has expressed his thanks for all the support thus far.
((Babblers)) Thank you for being so kind to one of our own. He's such a good soul. I sure do wish medical science could figure out what's going on with him.
Thank you all for the continued good wishes.

Try to keep this brief. Took cab to ER.
Xrays..pneumonia(sounds like it, looks like it)
One 'tree full of AB's after ABs..15 bags easy.
Fever spiking from 98 to 103.9 in what seemed like a minute
4 days of this sh*t...nothing.
Take more blood X 12.
Doc asked, when did you start that large dose of Zyprexa?
Bingo bitches.
50 hour half life for Zyprexa. 2 more days no fever.
6 days in hospital. no money. supposed to work Monday.
Hanging was easier.
The last 3 meds my doc gave me sent me to worlds I never knew.
He might want to consider an armed guard for our next appt.
There's nothing more dangerous than a man with nothing left to lose.
As far back as I can remember in my life, I've been a good person, a nice guy, a guy who would take more than his share of the blame if it would patch up a rift.
I do not deserve this. I've hurt no one. And nobody I know knows how to help.
Out. I'm tired.
Thanks for y'alls suport.
