It turns out only I and another person are going to SF in May. I will be alone on Thurs, Fri, Mon and Tues. I arrive Thurs and leave Tues.
I don't feel good about this trip.
I don't do well alone in unfamiliar cities. I am afraid of getting lost.
I don't want to go anymore, but I have to because I already bought plane tickets.
I need to keep the trip cheap because I will no longer have a job on June 11.
Maybe I will sleep in my hotel room for 4 days. :-(

You'll still be alone but maybe some of these places
will motivate you to go out.
You'll be fine. (That Japanese area sounds cool.)
Can't miss the wharf!!Phil

I don't know what to do. I am getting stressed out about this.
I am really worried about being sad and lonely in SF. The worst part of this is I am afraid I'm going to get so sad and lonely that I will jump off a bridge. :-(
I hate this. I am really worried.

I was reading that they have a few amazing bookstores there. They are not chain stores either, just well stocked ma and pa bookstores.
Sounds like a fun trip.Jay

I think my fear of jumping off the Golden Gate bridge is an irrational fear. I want to live until I am very old. I am planning and looking forward to the future. There is no reason to think I would kill myself.
I just get scared. I really don't want to die.
Stupid intrusive thoughts.
I think I will just avoid going to the Golden Gate Bridge altogether.

How about you make it a goal to get through this trip and then consider it a MAJOR accomplishment!!! Plan out your time there so you always have something to do, then spend the time challenging yourself to enjoy being on vacation all on your own! And when you get back, you can definitely congratulate yourself on handling what is for you, an extremely challenging situation! I think this can be a really cool experience for you if you look at it the right way. Of course you know I've always got your back. You are one amazing person!
