I don't know how much I can type. My head is pounding and I didn't sleep.
She was lying in the yard as if she was sleeping. No outward sign of any trauma, illness..nothing. I guess she had a heart attack or stroke. She is only 7.
I just can' talk about it now. i love you guys

Please click on link...this photo is up on my jigzone puzzle page. I changed it to be very simple.
As sad as this is, I want you to see her in her element. This was what she loved the most. The flowers and sunshine. Robert and other friends are coming for a service. I am preparing an area for her now.

I'm so sorry this has happened. I've had dogs most of my life and losing one is like losing a part of yourself. I truly believe that in whatever afterlife exists, all of our passed pets are there waiting for us. That bond lasts forever.

"Henrietta" trained Fayeroe to guard me and I know that when she sees Fayedy, she'll say "job well done"......I can only imagine how many pets we've all had that greeted her last night.

I loved what you said about other pets greeting her. That's a lovely image & I'm imagining her standing at the edge of that field in the photo & them bounding forward to greet her & them all romping happily.
Hun, I am so sorry. My loving thoughts are with you.

Neighbors are here helping Robert dig her earthly resting place. Two have brought me food. That is what we do in the south but I've never thought about it when a pet departs.

Phil, Fayeroe did blossom when we moved here. I think she found her forever home. She loved exploring and running around this area. She ran errands with me on Monday and several strangers commented upon how pretty she was. She always got real wiggly when someone came up to admire her. :-)
TeddyJack is pretty down this morning. He was waiting for her to barrel out of the door to the patio and when she didn't..he sat and looked at me for a long time.
Thanks to everyone for posting and keeping me busy here. It really did help me get through yesterday..........

TeddyJack (ranch dog) is really having a hard time of it. He readies himself when I open the door and when he realizes that she isn't running out..he sits down and puts his head on his paws and stares at me.She was his playmate. Lita keeps looking for her in the house.
Today I've looked for her, listened for her and cried for her. PC said it best..she was here in her place and that does give me some peace.
I got her when she was 8 weeks old. Until Wednesday had spent three nights apart in 7 years.

Nothing I can do or say can lessen the sting. Only time can heal those wounds---but I am truly and completely sorry. 7 years----I wonder if that is one reason we love pets so utterly---that their lives are so fleeting and fragile----when, in fact, all life is such?

I've always believed that loving a pet is a major way to learn how to "deal" with the real world. I know that I've learned more loving a pet than I ever have loving a person. Do you think it is because they are so patient and we can repeat mistakes with them and it doesn't matter to the pet? Sometimes we're prepared for them to go and when it is too early and is such a shock..that is a reminder how little time we all have. She got the most out of her time!I know that I'm going to ramble around here, talking about her for a few days. I don't have anyone IRL (here) that can listen like Babblers.
It helps me.Last night I had a lightbulb moment after I went to bed.....Her grave is in the front yard and I go out there frequently. She isn't there. Her spirit is all around me. That is just her earthly home. I can talk to her anywhere.
I wish I could be the kind of human being that she thought I was.

Pat,
I'm so sorry about your dog. I didn't know. My parents' dog just died a couple of weeks ago, he was 10 years old. It was devastating. I have 2 dogs that are like people to me and I'm sure thats how you felt about Fay. I hope she felt no pain, and that you find peace in knowing that she was truly loved.
