Flops over on her side and lies down at the sight of me when I enter the room.
I don't have to pet her; I just lower my head down to hers and whisper how beautiful she is, and she will start to purr.
She will roll over onto her back and show her belly but it's not to touch! except for raspberry kisses. Those are totally allowed.
She's the only cat I've ever owned who will accept a single treat and trot away, happy that she got away with something she didn't deserve (but she did).
She now will allow me to trim her front paw nails -- all by myself -- without any protest. As long as I follow up with that one treat.
I don't understand how an animal that licks itself to keep clean can smell so good, but there's nothing like a kitty that's been sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. It's like heaven.
She's even got me scooping her poop out of her litter box every day.
Hmmm... who's the pet, and who's the owner?!

There's just something about cats isn't there? Mine does the flop over thing too, but on his back, & usually right in front of my feet when I'm walking so that I almost trip over him. Then he lets me rub his belly for 5 seconds before he tries to 'get me' (no claws). No way he'd let me trim his nails though! And he loves his treats! They're called Greenies and are the only kind he likes. He always looks around for more and sniffs at little specks on the floor to see if they might be one - it makes me laugh.

I have three cats. The dumpster kitties and the psychotic Pearl. Mikee and Timmee are half-brothers. (one is orange and one is white/gray)
Timmee likes to be let in the front door and then he strolls through the house to the back door to be let out.
They lie several times daily.
Timmee gets really mad when I do the cat imprisonment hug...he's on his back and I am right in his face. There is a name for it but I've forgotten it.
Pearlcat lives somewhere. She eats her meals on top of the storage shed and occasionally I see her patrolling the huge grassy area in the back. I think she was traumatized when I had to pull her, as a teensy kitten, out of the coils of a refrigerator where she had gotten herself stuck.
Cats rock! (except when they kill creatures and bring them to me as gifts)I am sure that someone wanted to call the asylum last year when they saw me chasing Pearl because there was a huge lizard tail hanging out of her mouth. I thought I might be able to save my little creature..alas, part of him had already been consumed.

Ginger can be heard dragging his favourite 'toy' from the other end of the house. He goes "mrrrp" even though his mouth is clamped on the toy!
It's a plastic stick with coloured long thick cloth string. It used to have a mouse of the end, but that's long gone!!
He drags it by the mouse end & then comes into whatever room I'm in & looks at me & drops it about 5 feet away, looking at me expectantly.
What??? Do they see 'aruas' & that's where mine comes to??
Do all cats do this?
Kath (or Katt - meow)
PS - when he first adopted us, & I tried to play with him, he was really scared! Didn't know about playing. BOY has he learned!
