This is fun! I'm looking forward to getting it now.
I bought the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with Intel Atom Processor, Unbuntu 8.04 OS, 1GB RAM and 32 GB solid state drive.
It's on sale until Nov. 28th, so I just said, what the heck, I'll buy it now!
I've done my research so I don't see why not.
Yay! I'm excited.

Hi Deneb,
Did you get it yet? How is it? I am very curious as it so happens I was researching this same one when you posted this. GMTA :-)
I'm not sure how I want it configured though, if I do go with the Dell. And, some other competing minis got pretty decent reviews from the major PC magazines here. I hate choosing, when there is no clear "winner!"
Let me know what you think. Oh and did you get a funky design or color? Mine will be red if I get one. I like red.

No, I haven't gotten it get. It's taking forever! I read on the Ubuntu forums that it took some people 2 months to get it! Estimated date of delivery is the 11th so I hope I get it soon and that it won't be delayed.
Yeah, I read up on other netbooks too. There are some good competitors. I can't wait to get mine. I got mine in white. The designs were cool, but I think I might get tired of them after a while. I wish they had green, but white is very good.
Neat that you were looking at the same thing.
What features do you want in your netbook?

I'm typing on my little netbook! Yay! I like it, it's neat. The apostrophe key is in a strange place, but I can live with it.
This is the end of the thread.
