Your reaction to the bird episode shows great sensitivity & compassion, in my opinion.
Who knows with the fight - maybe you got triggered; maybe they were bullies; maybe you've got sad history of being bullied hun.
Maybe with the bird you saw it being a bully, then maybe you say you being a bully (even tho you weren't).
Do you have a therapist? Sometimes I hear people in pain & hope they have someone to help them through it, that's why I asked. I've been pretty fortunate in getting good therapists.
My caring thoughts are with you :-)
hugs, Kath

Glad that my thoughts brought a new 'angle' to the surface!
I'm glad you're going to start CBT. My son's caseworker gave me some worksheets from a CBT book & I've done them for a few times when I was very upset about something. By the end of the exercise, I had decreased how badly I was feeling in some areas from 80% down to 30%.
I don't use them as often as I should. It feels sort of daunting. Once I start, it isn't all that daunting though.
I think I remember there being an online, free course. I'll look into it & post the link.

Hi Phillipa,
I have only looked at the one I posted. I have the other address as a "shortcut" on my screen, so I must have had if from before.
I haven't looked at the 'gym' one. I really like the other, so I'm not even bothering to compare them.
