I had a lucid dream about trying to find Dr. Bob

Posted by Deneb on September 21, 2008, at 14:26:57

In my lucid dream I was flying, inside and outside. I could control where I flew to.

Well, after flying a bit, I decided I wanted to see Dr. Bob.

Only problem is, I didn't know where he was.

So I flew down to a small convienence store and asked for a map. In this tiny store, the owner told me there was a map on the table. I tried looking for if, but I couldn't find it. There this store was also a home. I asked to use their computer. The owner said, ask the nurse. LOL So I went into different rooms and asked for the nurse. Two people said they were not the nurse and directed me to someone else.

Finally I went into this room with a black lady and asked if she was the nurse. She said yes. I asked her if I could use her computer to find Dr. Bob. She said yes.

Then my dream kind of ended.

There were other parts to my dream.

In my dream I realized I could fly because it was a dream, but then I decided I would try to fly outside my dream too. The flying was really fun. I could control where I flew. I fly into the clouds, I flew in a park, inside a building etc. I have a lot of lucid dream about flying. In the dream, I wanted to show Dr. Bob my flying abilities, but not the Dr. Bob in my dreams, the real Dr. Bob.

I got the feeling I was going to die soon and wanted to see Dr. Bob before I died.

Overall it was a very fun dream.

I just read some descriptions of what happens to bodies after they jump off the Golden Gate and I don't want to die that way.

I want to drink red wine with lots of resveratrol, eat small amounts of dark chocolate with flavoniods, eat blueberries with their rich source of antioxidants, take fish oil supplements, vitamin D and D, eat spinach and almonds and salmon to live past 100.

I want to die in my sleep at a healthy old age of 125.

I don't want to kill myself. Please don't let me jump off the bridge. :-(

Flying dreams are usually of a positive nature could be the switch from thinking about death to wanting to be healthy? Love Phillipa

I believe you want to live. I think the rest is obsessive thinking like Racer said in another post. It must be really scary to have those thoughts. I hope you can find a way to get rid of them.

The flying dream sounds really fun! Last night I dreamed I was at a party at some people's house and I decided to take a bath. After I got in the tub I started worrying about whether or not I locked the door. I got out and went to the door and turned the lock, which apparently unlocked it because all these people started coming in. I couldn't get them to leave or stop coming in. I tried to cover myself with the bathmat. I wonder what that means? I'm sure it has something to do with going back to work.

Dear Deneb,

Phillipa's idea sounds interesting.

It seems that this thinking about death is really troubling for you - understandably.

When is your next appt with your T or pdoc? If it's not really soon, could you phone & make one for sooner?

I think it could be very reassuring for you to have a professional to support you through this & help you feel more secure & comfortable.

Let us know, okay?

luv & hugs, Kath xoxo

WOW, that was some dream. I haven't been able to remember any of my dreams anymore like that, and with such detail too. Hopefully the next one will have no worry of death in it.
