I think some guy stole my Netflix out of my mail

Posted by Happyflower on April 7, 2008, at 12:07:14

We had our Netflix ready to pick up today, but they were gone before my mail-person came to my door! The doorbell did ring twice, but I didn't know who it was so I didn't answer.
I notified Netflix of the problem, and they won't charge us if they come up missing. But they suggested if it happened again, to use the post office, which kind defeats the convenience of the service.

And my dog has been barking all morning. Now it was some guy on a bike taking to himself and playing with his bike upside down across the street.

I think I like it better in winter when the scary people don't walk past my house. And now I have to go to class, and leave me kids home alone. I don't feel too good about that. I guess it is my PTSD taking over.

I called my T, I am shaking so bad, can't control it. He said it is the PTSD and I am over reacting, but I it is understandable with the trauma therapy we have been doing I am more sensitive to these things. He told me to try a xanax, but I don't know where they are, and I have class in hour. auuugghh!

Can your kids go with you and sit in back of classroom explain to professor why and maybe call the police let them send a car to check out the guy? Love Phillipa

Thanks Phillipa,

My T calmed me down, told me my kids would be okay. I had my DH call them 2 times and I finished my quiz early so I called during class. It's the PTSD he said. I took a xanax and feel better. First time I called my T like that. I didn't think I would ever get to talk to him, he was on lunch in his office, so he took my call. I am not shaking right now, I feel better. It wasn't just the Netflix guy, it is all these strange people walking down our busy street and ringing the doorbell. Warm weather brings out more people. But it I am seeing things in a warped way right now. Feeling vulnerable.

I hate scary people walking by the house... But, at least you have a dog. Apparently dogs scare scary people away -- especially ones that bark. I had something else to say, but I don't remember what...

So glad you got to talk with your T & get calmed down a bit & get things a bit more into perspective.

I hope you're feeling better.
