I'm here worrying about myself and tomorrow's impending job testing, while people are losing their homes in California and their lives are being thrown into some third dimension.
If I had the $, I'd head over there and see if there was something I could do to help someone, just one at a time.
Ya' know the thing I wonder about most is people on medication. What if they're out and need a refill and haven't proof of taking it? If I was thrown into a catatrophe w/o my meds, I'd be a literal zombie, a burden, of no help to anyone, and quite likely a hindrance.
Even people who've never experienced, say, a panic attack, might have one in this situation, and they're going to think they're having a heart attack. I don't see a lot on MSNBC about the hospitals working together w/ the people in these huge stadiums. Food and water are necessary yes, but for many people fearing not having medication may be even larger.
Yep, if I had some training in on-hand patient care, I'd jump in the car. Of course, I'm not sure they'd even let me in to help.
What's happening is horrible. I wonder tho' why more of these people didn't already have the anti-fire landscaping around these homes and cabins in 'what looks like almost redwood territoy' or I guess it could be 'pine'.
Anyone here going to there to volunteer? I can't even afford to logon to redcross right now and donate a few dollars. Had to ask a relative for a few $ for pre-test materials 2moro.
Well ... just wanted to say I'm thinking of the 'hugeness' of this situation and it makes my own little catastrophe so menial.

Sigi I e-mail with someone from San Diego he says the fires are abating and moving more up the coast away from San Diego he is fine don't know of any others. Phillipa
