When you send an email to several email addresses at once, will it work if you use a comma in between the addresses or do you need a semi colon?

what email program are you using? or is it an online one like hotmail? generally it is a comma, but most mail programs and providers have a "cc" function.

Okay, since I wasn't sure if everyone received my email, I resent it using semicolons. Well the first person on the list, I had a letter missing from their address, and I got this returned mail thing through Comcast.(it was the 1st email on the list)
Now my question is, did the other people get it ?

If you want to hide some of the addresses to which you send an email, you list those email addresses under the BCC field (for blind carbon copy).

If it had a long address that's a combo of all the addresses, then it would mean it was not separating them with the commas, but reading it all as one big long address. But since the email you got back only has the first email address listed as bad, then the others recipients probably received their email. Its possible some could still come back if you typed them wrong, sometimes it takes awhile to receive the response that says you had a bad address. But my guess would be they went through fine. Really the only way to find out for sure is to email some of them individually and ask if they received it.
As for the first question, I think you can use either a comma or a semicolon, but I'm not sure on that.
And the only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask!
