I am sad about my new friend

Posted by Happyflower on May 10, 2007, at 12:54:56

Well I have known her for a couple of years , but she just found out that she has to have open heart surgury next week. I was so shocked she seems so healthy and takes good care of herself. Well she told me she had an eating disorder when she was young, that damaged her heart. I know they can do wonders with heart surgury, but I am so worried about her.

I almost feel too gulity about having my slumber party and having fun with a babble friends when my one friend will be in the hospital in intensive care where I will be having the fun.

I am not a close friend but her and her husband have always been so nice to me. She is one of my yoga friends. I just feel so numb and sad. She is a lot older than me, and I will always remember what she told me on Tuesday. She said to take of yourself today because what we do will eventually catch up to us when we are older.

I have made the decsion to stop running a few weeks ago. My asthma is just too bad to continue to run outside with all the pollen in the air, and my feet are in bad shape. I was telling this to my other yoga friend when she walked into the door. This is when she told us, yes, take care of yourself.

It has also made me think about my happiness and my marriage situation. The whole thing has me a bit unsettled on what she said. But she was speaking from her heart.

Unfortunately time flies and we're old before we know it and with it comes medical problems. So enjoy life now. Love Phillipa
