Someone tell me to go to bed

Posted by jammerlich on March 15, 2007, at 2:12:32

Please, I need someone to force me to sleep.

I live in an apartment and I am seriously hating on my neighbor. She has the grill out nearly every night and she and her friends park their cars at the entrance to our garages, making it difficult to get in and out of mine. I asked them to move their cars tonight. They wouldn't. I called the complex's courtesy officer. He's out of town tonight; but, will talk to them tomorrow when he returns.

In the meantime, I've been looking through the packet the apt. complex gave me when I moved in. It turns out that it's against complex rules to grill in driveways or parking areas. That's good news; I can complain to management. The better news is that there's also a document from the local fire marshal explaining that it's against city ordinance to store or use a grill in an apt. complex or within 10 feet of any apartment building. There is a fine of up to $2000 per day for any violation.

Can I just tell you how overjoyed I am?? Forget complaining to the apartment complex. That'll be Plan B. I want to cost this girl some money if I can. We'll just call it a "rude tax." I don't really give a rat's *ss that she grills out there and if she'd just be a little considerate about the parking, I wouldn't complain.

What's keeping me up is that I really want to go make copies of the document and put it on her grill and her car, which are both still sitting out in the driveway. I've stopped myself twice, so far. The first time, I only got as far as turning on the light. The second time, though, I had the jeans on and was strapping on the bra. I mean, we wouldn't want to go completely wild and go out bra-less at 2 a.m. It just isn't proper.

So, I made jammer put her jammies back on and get back into bed. But, I'm wired and excited about exacting my revenge when daylight arrives. It's best not to put the notice on her car because then she will not suspect anything or have a chance to take the grill elsewhere. Mwah ha ha!!

Ok, really. Someone make me sleep.

remember though, if you giver her warning, she'll go and hide her grill, hence, no fine. wait and catch her while in the act! :)

go catch her @ss! i'd go yell at her for you (or send my personal bodyguard, he's 6'6 no one would mess with him!) but it sounds like you've got it covered.

(((jammer))) take care of yourself dear. i know many times i've just waited for the neighbors to screw up so i could catch them in the act (not that you're doin gthat, jsut showing how vindictive i am). glad to be out of apt's now. used to have neighbors who would stay up all hours and you could hear the sound of snorting (not that there's anything wrong with that). what is wrong is that all night afterwards we could hear beating on the walls and fighting with the 'old lady'. glad to be out of that place, especially soon after duckie was born.

you doing all right jammer? show those neighbors who's boss! (you are, btw!) just don't give them any warning (and make sure your car is hidden somewhere. wouldn't want any retaliation either.) oh, and might be best to call cops braless! :) they may take you more seriously and look you in the 'eyes'!

Wow you guys are a bunch of Blue Meanies!!!!!

Jammer. Is that woman soooooooooo bad??

I mean she sounds a bit of a jerk. But maybe it's not a good idea to make enemies this early in your sojourn in the apartment complex.

Come on up to New York, and throw the complaints at me while we pass on the street. I'll read em and write a polite, but firm anonymous complaint to her.

Maybe you can get what you want and not antagonize her. I'll send you some extra seroquel in the meantime, so you can sleep despite her raucous HaHaHa. Okay?

Calm down, babe. This is a hard time for you. I know the anger and loneliness are hard to cope with.

Early in my sojourn?? I've lived here 8 months and have been putting up with this from her several times a week for about 7 of those months. I'm done with being nice. It hasn't worked. So, I'm sticking it to her (the best I can and w/in the rules) and then I'll happily move when my house is finished.

Let's see, now where's my bra?

Oh you're building a house so it's a limited amount of time there. So start marking it on the calendar and be happy you soon will be living in a beautiful house that is yours. Love Phillipa

Eviction Is Good Revenage

Hi, I used to assistant manage apartments. If you put in an offical complaint (example: She is keeping her grill too close to anything combustible, loud late parties, and cramping the parking), its a good way to get her evicted.

If she ignores the letter from management, complain again. She will recieve a second letter. If she thinks she can ignore the third, which is an eviction notice, she's wrong.

It may take alittle longer than planning personal vendetta schemes (which may not even work, and usually does not) but it will work because of legalities. Plus shes likely to angrily confront management, and not you. It's very easy to start personal little fights that are prone to last a long time.
