Yep! I got an email from a female coworker mentioning that today.. its someone I dont know, but she sent it to all staff. She instructed all the women in the organization to kick up our feet and treat ourselves well today, etc etc.. something like that. An hour or so later, there was a email from a male coworker (again, someone I dont know) seconding it.. and a bit later, another email of agreement from the executive director of the agency. I thought that was pretty neat, given that I work for a community mental health agency with almost 400 employees, 10ish different programs, several different locations (main building, resedential homes, etc)... with all the things he's doing, it's nice to hear from him for something like that!

i got yellow tullips, red roses and lunch today, but i think that's jsut because it's pay day. i need to point out that it's women's day and perhaps my sister will get something today too.
in fact, maybe i'll go get her some flowers for her room. isn't that what it said was the traditional gift?
hooray women today! why wait for men to buy them gifts when we can buy them for eachother or ourselves?
