Hey LLurps..

are you on seroquel?

That's one of my sons meds...seroquel & risperidone.

He's taking seroquel as an anti-psychotic, as far as I know.

I think he's taking 50 mg/day of S.

Do you get side effects?

Hi Kath,
I used to take 50mg of seroquel for sedating and sleeping properties. Then I went up to 300 to get anti-depressant and mood-stabilizing and anti-psychotic properties. The sedation was really really awful for about 2 weeks, and then it gradually lessened. But I did pretty much collapse everynight within an hour of taking my dose. Zonk! and I was out cold. drooled on my pillow sometimes. lol

Other side effects were munchies (ultimately the reason why I had to go off this med was weight gain (about 10-15% in 3 mos). Aside from that it was a very very good drug for me. very calming. very stabilizing. helped me think quiet and happy thoughts.
