That I don't know. I've heard it from a number of places but overall it could be unsubstantiated.

I've heard similiar claims regarding the divorce rates of dentists and have to question whether anyone is really scientifically collecting such data. Maybe they are. If anyone knows I'd be interested to hear of it. Otherwise I'll assume such claims are unsubstantiated.

Link I've heard it too that psychiatrists have the highest suicide rates of doctors. And an old pdoc of mine committed suicide with carbon monoxide leaving car running while drunk in the garage. I posted it up above too.Love Phillipa

Let's see - I responded to the post in question, selected "include post" in my response; deleted the bits I didn't think were triggerish, and changed the subject line to indicate a trigger and what it would be for. And I checked the box to add the name of the previous poster - you, in this case.
I think that's how I did it. Thanks for asking.

Clear Skies thanks but you know I didn't consider it a suicide trigger as it didn't concern me and happened a long time ago. And there was already info on it in the thread. So in other words anything that mentions harm should have a trigger warning? Gee I'm so bad about changing the subject line. I'll try to be more careful. Sorry. Love Phillipa

Phillipa, there has been a lot of discussion about trigger warnings, and how they can be helpful for other people. If you look in the archives you'll see some past threads about it. On the Admin board.
I think it's a courtesy and not a rule.
I just did it because your post caught my eye.
