Well...I've met someone off of a dating website, and it's, well, very, umm.."cool"...very, very "nice". Sounds like odd words to describe meeting someone. Well, out of all the places, she end's up living only one block from my house.
We both have very similar, deeply held strong political views, and connect mindfully. We first met at a small Peace March against the Occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. That....was damn powerful!
So, we ended up spending Friday night talking for hours taking in a Thai cuisine, then moving to a cafe and consuming a beautiful bottle of red South American wine. It was the most wonderful bottles of wine, and one of the best conversations I've ever had in my life.(No, it didn't end in, like the song.."The wine makes you mine tonight.."...well maybe it sort of did on a different level.) I can tell you, there was a mental and spiritual infatuation at work. Yes, the basics where there too. But, they where just *there*.
So, we've planned a thing or two over the next week, and I *know* we will take it slow. But...this is the point of the journey....anything can happen. She is very, very mature for 31, and me at my grand old age of soon-too-be 37..hahaa.
We'll see...this is gonna be a test of my mental health too...I know. So..ya...we'll see...

Hey Jay,
that's great that you met someone who has such interesting ideas.Don't put all your eggs in one basket, so to speak-- this woman is fantastic, because if you can meet her, you know that there ARE people out there that you can connect to. She's wonderful, and there are, no doubt, even more people like her. I'm so glad you guys met!
So, take it slow- not too much drama at the beginning... see what happens?
Who knows? she may be a great gf for you :)
crossing my fingers,
so happy that your efforts are so well rewarded :)-Li

Hey Jay
I'm just 'checking in' after not having done so for a few months!
So - a little while has gone by now - I'm wondering how things are going for you and this woman? I hope things are working out as you hope.
hugs, Kath
