Neville Brothers' version of this...

Sitting here in Limbo
Waiting for the tide turn.
Yeah, now, sitting here in Limbo,
So many things I've got to learn.
Meanwhile, they're putting up a resistance,
But I know that my faith will lead me on.

Sitting here in Limbo
Waiting for the dice to roll.
Yeah, now, sitting here in Limbo,
Still got some time to search my soul.
Meanwhile, they're putting up a resistance,
But I know that my faith will lead me on.

I don't know where life will take me,
But I know where I have been.
I don't know what life will show me,
But I know what I have seen.
Tried my hand at love and friendship,
That is past and gone.
And now it's time to move along.

Sitting here in Limbo
Like a bird ain't got a song.
Yeah, I'm sitting here in Limbo
And I know it won't be long
'Til I make my getaway, now.

Gonna lead me on now.
Meanwhile, they're putting up resistance,
But I know that my faith will lead me on.
Sitting in Limbo, Limbo, Limbo.
Sitting in Limbo, Limbo, Limbo.
Sitting in Limbo, Limbo, Limbo.
Meanwhile, they're putting up a resistance,
But I know that my faith will lead me on.

This was written by a man who I came to deeply empathize with and got to know when I was going through my own loss and pain. He lost his wife and 20 year old daughter within a year..

How it Is
--------------
By Neil Peart(Rush)
Here's a little trap
That sometimes catches everyone
When today's as far as we can see
Faith in bright tomorrows
giving way to resignation
That's how it is - how it's going to be

It's such a cloudy day
Seems we'll never see the sun
Or feel the day has possibilities
Frozen in the moment -
the lack of imagination
Between how it is and how it ought to be
Here's a little trap
That sometimes trips up everyone
When we tire of our own company
Sometimes we're the last to see beyond the day's frustrations
That's how it is - how it's going to be

It's such a cloudy day
Seems we'll never see the sun
I feel the day is all uncertainty
Burning in the moment - trapped by the desperation
Between how it is and how it ought to be

Foot upon the stair
Shoulder to the wheel
You can't tell yourself not to care
You can't tell yourself how to feel

That's how it is
Another cloudy day
-----------------

James Blunt you're Beautiful. I think there are quite a few links to videos of the song. Google him. Love Phillipa

I love this song so much that I bought the CD! ;-) it makes me think of my "crush" and how we look at each other but know we can't ever be together. But I still love it even if it is bittersweet, but heh, that is how I like my chocolate. LOL

I also like "you Lift Me Up" by I think Josh Gordon, "Imagaine" by John Lennon, and "You are my Inspiration" by Chicago

Sorry I'm late, but when I saw this thread I had to jump in. I'm not sure if it's really inspirational, but I like it an awful lot. "That I Would be Good" Alanis Morissette.

that I would be good even if I did nothing
that I would be good even if I got the thumbs down
that I would be good if I got and stayed sick
that I would be good even if I gained ten pounds

that I would be fine even even if I went bankrupt
that I would be good if I lost my hair and my youth
that I would be great if I was no longer queen
that I would be grand if I was not all knowing

that I would be loved even when I numb myself
that I would be good even when I am overwhelmed
that I would be loved even when I was fuming
that I would be good even if I was clingy

that I would be good even if I lost sanity
that I would be good whether with or without you

I guess because people tend to judge? Or maybe we judge ourselves too harshly? Perhaps the whole point is to love and accept ourselves in spite of these things and then the rest will fall into place?

I don't know, really. What do you think?
