Parnate Advice

Posted by elanor roosevelt on October 15, 2006, at 15:06:39

I am due to visit the drugdoc and evaluate Parnate. There are a number of comments I have read here that would be helpful to me if only I could find them now.
On parate I am "not depressed"
I am however, a bit too subdued
but i get edgy in the afternoon
often i fall into a daze
i have to keep in constant motion in the daytime so i don't get sleepy

Parnate is my last chance drug
i would like to find a way to supplement it so that i am a bit more out-going and upbeat which i am when i am not depressed.
I would like to find a way to keep on the Parnate for a few years as I have been treatment resistant and melted down on so many drugs.
i need a stretch of "okay" time
what have people taken with the Parnate that helps with the fine-tuning?
Please let me know
thanks

I think you're on social. Maybe the meds board? Love Phillipa

Do you have an opinion on (the judicious use) of protein powders with Parnate? I suppose it's the trytophan, tyrosine and phenylalanine that's relevant.

I can relate to your question 100%. I'm also on Parnate and although it's enabling me to keep my head above water, as in keeping up with my daily responsibilities, I have no motication to be social. I am far from "happy" on Parnate, only functional. I'm more successful in pursuing my career since I've been on Parnate, but I have less desire to keep in contact with friends and I know I'm not where I need to be. I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but just wanted to let you know that I can relate.
