I had an interesting day last week.....

Posted by sleepygirl on August 29, 2006, at 20:26:25

I was easy going, I was funny, I was happy, I was interested, I could focus, I didn't feel anxious, things didn't feel so hard, I just didn't care too much
it didn't feel...well, like me ;-)

I'm not sure why, and it makes me wonder how many of those days people can expect generally?
what created this day?
how can I recreate such a day?

I saw a new message down at the bottom, and I thought "ooh goody! a new post", but you know what? it was just me, but I had completely forgotten that I had posted. For a half second I thought "sleepygirl?" who's th....."oh yeah, that's just me :-("

I'm playing catch up with myself it seems. This does not bode well for the twilight years of my life. ;-)

anyway...if you've bothered reading this:
have a nice day :-)

Oh I know!

I remember the one day I had like that, the most recent one, they stand out so boldly.

I was just so 'normal' the anxiety, and mood self awareness was an acceptable whisper rather than clanging in the forground.
I just *did* things, without re-thinking them, and wondering if I really wanted too, or if maybe I could do it later.
Those kinds of days I don't want to go to sleep because I don't want to wake up and feel all lost and preoccupied again

I tried to think of the vitamins I'd been taking, what I'd eaten, ANYTHING..
But then I thought, maybe it was a vitamin I started taking last month that just started working.. :~[

But really, for me, they just seem like little gifts, I've been able to establish what has helped keep me stable, but not what comprises those just plain good days..

I hope you have another one soon :D

P.S

I saw bigfoot one time

yeah...that's it! nice description. I thought what is this marvelous thing? ....without too much accent on the "marvelous" part, but more a curiosity

mmmm..yeah

I thought that too..."what have I done differently?" and I couldn't put my finger on it.

that interesting little footnote made me laugh, out loud in fact ;-)
I had a strange flash of a hairy man running through the woods with you saying "hey, what was that...was it? could it be?"

I have had an unfinished project for several months and I haven't felt like finishing it. It *is* kind of a pain in the ... project (sawing concrete patio blocks to fit the edge row.) I should still be able to muster up the responsibility, if not the motivation to finish it.

Monday I came home and finally just grabbed my cord, saw, and square without even thinking anything and started cutting. I cut them all that night and finished placing them last night. It is finally done.

I don't know what came over me, but the post-completion feeling was awesome. I finished something! Perhaps in the future I can remember what that feels like to motivate myself.

oh goody,
it worked!

It's not really a true story though, I *bet* I fooled you.

It's just that yesterday I was a porcupine you see...
