I rarely feel like going out and partying. I'm too tired and depressed, which of course I can't tell people. And I really don't care to go out now that I'm moving in two days. I've been in this town for just two months for an internship, and I don't feel like hanging out with anyone.
I had told a woman from work I'd probably go out tonight (because I usually try to force myself), but left a message telling her I can't because I need rest so I can finish packing tomorrow. She leaves a message for me saying "I think it's lame that you can't come out. I don't see why you can't pack a little hung over."*sigh* People don't get it.

I think it's lame she wants to go get drunk, and lamer still she thinks you should, too, given that you're moving in two days. Alcohol is a depressant. Not very smart.
How about "You order some pizza, I'll grab a six pack, and I'll come over and help you pack ... even if all I do is sit around, drinking beer and eating pizza while 'managing' your packing for you"?

Well, who needs this girl anyways? You're moving out. She's super lame. Laying a GUILT trip on YOU- when actually she just wants an excuse to further her own social life. Lame-o.
Take it easy. In the words of Larry Hoover "simplify"
Moving is stressful enough. Make sure to take mental health breaks, like naps, and drinking smoothies, and babble-breaks, of course ;-)
yours,
-ll

Because it has a relatively low amount of alcohol. And a six pack is self-limiting. ;^)

hey, screw some people.
I was reminded of an exchange that happened many years ago when I told this kid (a few years younger than me) Some nights I like to stay home and read a book. He brought it up several times later like he could mock me.
Over the years, I proved - I'm a real Punk, he went country? I've been in the worst and best institutions in this state. I gone anywhere and done anything.
I've earned the right to say I'm tired.
I win. goddamn it I'm the f*cking winnner.

It's extremely lame to tell people they're lame. Who is anyone to tell you that you should be in the mood to do anything?
If she had said she was disappointed that you weren't coming, or felt rejected, or would be anxious to go out alone-- okay. Maybe she did/was.
But how are you lame? When did partying get to be a part of the moral imperative?

Okay, two comebacks:
1) When you point your finger at someone, there are three pointing back at you!
2) It takes one to know one (and **I** don't know **you** at all!)
