Hi there,
I have been taking Effexor for 4 months now and am at 112.5mg. I noticed last week that I now have body odor which I never had before. It's not just where you would sweat either (ie. armpits) I can smell it on my arms and legs. It smells awful. I don't know if it's just my sense of smell has changed or if I really do stink! I know that my sense of taste has changed, I can't stand to eat some of my favorite foods anymore so I am hoping that it's just my imagination. My boyfriend says he doesn't smell it but I think he's just being nice, it is so strong to me.
Anyway...has anyone else noticed this particular side effect and if so does it go away eventually or with an increase in dose? I have noticed that my side effects do go away in time with each dose increase so am really hoping that happens with this one. I don't want to be the stinky girl for the rest of my life!
Any advice, ideas etc. would greatly ease my mind. Thanks!

I never noticed any odors while on Effexor.
Could you have a sinus infection?

> Could you have a sinus infection? No sinus infection at the moment but I do have allergies and tend to get them so maybe it's starting? Funny thing though, woke up this morning and smelled my arm (it's become a habit the last week) and I don't smell any offensive odor anymore! I asked my boyfriend to smell me again and he said I smelled the same as last time so I guess it was only me. Thankfully!
This is the end of the thread.
