Now I know I'm crazy I thought today was Monday and now I hear its Sunday is this a sign of old age, stress, not working, or being crazy or all of the above. I seriously thought it was Monday. What is wrong with me. I take things like this seriously as my depression and anxiety are definitely getting worse. I've told my husband I will give all my savings to pay bills with if he stays home with me and doesn't get a job as I'm too scared to be a lone. Love Phillipa

Oh, Phillipa,
I'm sorry to hear that you're scared of staying home by yourself. That's really hard. (((Phillipa)))Can you do some volunteer work during the day, to get out of the house and have a regular schedule, since you're not able to work right now?
Or maybe an exercise class, or take a class at your local community college, art museum or historical society? Is there a choir in your church you can sing in, or a bowling league or something like that?
You're not crazy at all. Back when I used to get summer vacation (in the good ol' days) I would lose track of the days of the week. I was young, and my brain hadn't reached its "sell-by date" yet.
I get stressed and anxious when I have to be apart from my husband. He used to work in the evenings, and I would be at home alone, and every little noise would freak me out. I would get super stressed if he were even 5 minutes late getting home. And of course it's tough on your depression when there's something stressful like this coming up.
Hugs for you Phillipa (((((((Phillipa))))))
sorry you have to go through this. I'll be thinking of you
-llrrrppp.s. if your husband works, maybe you guys can save up and use the money to take a nice vacation somewhere? or buy a boat? or remodel your kitchen? It might help if you reframed his going to work in terms of something to look forward to, rather than a loss.

Phillipa,
I think if you go and work out, you dont have to say anything to anyone, just work out. I do, but i havent lately. I am forced to be put in a social situations, because of 2 jobs i have, god help me, im posting a post on this im so stressed out.
Can you go to church? well the good thing is you socialize here. At least you can get out your thoughts.
I swear my cat is not leaving me alone, is trying to get me to feed him, he just had dinner! god now he is just laying right by my arm, too attached to me. ROFL
He was on the computer a while ago.Anyways, see a social skills therpist about this, thats what im doing. I AM going to be an extrovert.
I have thought about going to a hypnotherpist about this.
Dont get down on your self, thats what i did and it made me feel horrible. You do have talents you have, sometimes we just have to discover them, even thought they are inside.
Try it. And you take care!
Matt

No, you're not crazy, you're just not paying attention to what day it is. It happens to me sometimes when it's summer and I'm not working and not going outdoors. Once in a while I don't even know if it's morning or evening. That happens when I sleep and wake at odd hours.
I think it would be good to schedule some activities throughout the week. That way you won't forget what day it is.

Phillipa~
I don't think that not knowing what day of the week it is...is crazy. I rarely can remember..As a matter of fact, I just did it this morning!
I ALSO don't thing it's a bad thing! Before I had my son, 4 years ago..I had always worked full time. I spent my days wishing my life away for Friday to come. Now..I kinda don't really care what day of the week it is..let alone the actual date! Thank God for Calanders..and half the time..I'm always in the wrong week even with a Calander!
Seriously, sorry that your depression and anxiety seem to be getting worse,as you said...I hope you find relief.
As far as not knowing the day of the week...don't sweat it. Lord, I put the milk in the cabinet the other day, and the sugar in the refrigerator...and no, it's NOT the first time!
Hugs, Faith~

(Why does that remind me of Hey Kool-aid! Phillipa, please don't make your entrance by crashing through my monitor.) :D
Anyway, I just wanted to say:
Today is Monday.
!
!
!
!
!I lose track of days, too, if I don't have any appointments going on. Working from home makes it really easy to lose track.
Take care,
gg

must agree with the rest sweetie. not crazy. back when i had regular classes MWF/TR i could always tell what day of the week it was because of what classes i had...never been the same since. i have a watch with the date on it and even then i have to look at it about 8 times a day (or whenever i need to know) cuz i can't remember.
it does make things worse if you are not working outside the home.
but also, do know that i have add and high anxiety and both of these add to my memory issues. the worse my anxiety the worse my memory...could this be going on with you? you mention wanting your hubby to stay home with you, something else must really be going on that your anxiety is increasing this much.
hope things get better...and definately not crazy.
take care p.
