I'm sorry if my discussion of 'astrology' bothered anyone. I think we all have a right to our own beliefs. (Yeah .. you probably got that already huh?)
Today, in hindsight, coming right out and telling you all about my experience with these astrological readings just furthers my belief in astrology, as my behavior was typical of a person with such readings.
But, I don't expect others to believe as I do and I am not offended if you don't.
My understanding of 'delusions' is believing things are not as they are proven to be; like believing the sky is red instead of blue. Although sometimes the sky gets pretty red at sunset! (I'm just grasping here.)
I've worried about posting since began here a few years ago because of 'fear of getting into trouble' or 'inserting foot in mouth' (My mouth! Ha! I know .. bad joke; couldn't resist! Am I in trouble now?)
Being able to 'edit myself' before posting helps me communicate properly. It's prob' why you've all put up with me so long!
Bad night last eve, thinking too much, and guess said too much. I don't know. Maybe sometimes less is best.
'You were there for me', and to me, that is more important than any of the above.

No problem here. I find astrology fascinating although I have no in depth knowledge of it.

> HopeNotOffendedAnyone, cfCorafree, I hope that you feel free to express yourself here. And I wouldn't be offended (personally, that is) unless someone chose to tell me that a belief I held was outright wrong.
I hope that you have a good day today.

Corafree you are free to discuss anything as long as it falls within the civility guidelines and there is nothing wrong with astrology personally I don't follow it but that's me. Love Phillipa

I read my horoscope everyday, from a good source. I have found it to be pretty consistent with what I experience during the day. It makes me think about who I am, about free will and agency. Sometimes it makes me laugh. Sometimes I argue with it. Sometimes it's mere entertainment. I am no deep believer, but I think it adds something nice to my day.
My in-laws consulted a geomancer & astrologer to help plan our wedding (post-elopation wedding ceremony) and I think it added a lot to how I understand my relation to the universe, and my relationship to another human being, who is connected to me for the rest of eternity.
I think it's great that you have found something that adds meaning to your life, corafree.

What is a geomancer llrrrpp?
I had my feng shui 'shwayed'(notaword) and my bed is supposed to 'point' east.
I tried explaining I didn't understand if the head or foot of my bed, or my head or my feet 'points/point', and never got a straight (or pointed .. haha) answer.
Anyway, the head of my bed is on an east wall and when I lie down my head is pointing east.
Does anyone know if me and my bed are 'pointing' east? (If it is, the cash should be pouring in! Sorry make fun!)
tks, cf

"the [...] cosmic order... is characterized by such words as (lifetimes), (fate), (luck), (astrological power), (supernatural powers and spirits). (karma, action in previous lifetimes), (heaven and hell)... According to [...] cosmology, what happens to us in the present life - which is within the continuum of lifetimes - is determined not only by our actions in previous lives but also by external powers and supernatural forces which are beyond human being's control."
The geomancer knows about such forces and external powers, and tries to inform his clients about auspicious days for important events, which spirits need to be appeased, or prayed to, or banished. He knows lucky numbers, and will often read fortunes and even palms. He may also perform ceremonies for the blessing of houses and other important buildings. Occasionally he may even channel spirits, but this is usually left to a shaman.
Yes, it shares many things in common with feng shui, but for a different culture. (i.e. not Chinese)

Hmmm.
I was named after my uncle and his best friend who passed away very tragically.
Then, I married my first husband on the day of that tragedy 21 years later. My mother probably didn't want to spoil my happiness by telling me it was 'the day'. (I should have known 'the date'!)
I'm wondering if a geomancer might have intervened in both of the above.
