That I care about others and animals before myself. Isn't that supposed to be wierd. Aren't we supposed to care about ourselves first. And that's where I get confused cause I've always thought that was selfish. Love Phillipa

The woman we bought our home from has my maiden name. It's not a common surname and I've rarely met anyone with it. It weirded me right out when I saw the closing documents. Like I was selling myself the house.

And she was an absolutely beautiful woman, too. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was akin to Gwyneth Paltrow saying she was wanted.

She beat the crap out of a guy. Put him in the hospital with serious injuries. I couldn't imagine how someone that cute could cause such damage, but she was apparently a wild woman when pissed. I didn't stick around long enough to find out.
That was during my phase a few years ago after my ex and I split up when my bipolar actually seemed like a positive attribute. In my manic phase, I partied my brains out and dated some pretty interesting girls. Of course, in retrospect, you could probably substitute "troublesome" for "interesting," but they could say the same thing about me. That was a crazy couple years.

Who knows, maybe I ran into you at some point. I've done my fair share of partying in NYC, though my favorite times are when business takes me to New Orleans or Boston. I'm pretty much a laid back wine drinker now, but whenever I get into those towns my meds go by the wayside and I go back to my "out til dawn" days. Just did that on Bourbon Street a few weeks ago.
It's tough getting crazy euphoric and not being able to turn to my old destructive outlets, but the morning afters are a lot nicer now. I learn slowly, but at least I'm learning.

I have alot of strange facts. Here's a few:
I sometimes seem to be psychic: I once had a dream about a friend I hadn't been in touch with in years. In the dream she was carrying around a baby girl. I commented to another friend, 'I didn't realize Lisa had a baby girl'. My friend said, 'Me neither'. A month later I got a birth announcement saying they had a baby girl the previous month.
When I was around 10 or 11 I saw Shaun Cassidy in concert.
I was on the local news once. I was at a club that was opening that night and they filmed me clapping going "Woo-o-o-o"! I was even on the previews. I somehow managed not to see it myself, but it seemed like everyone I had every known saw it.
One time I was out driving on an icey night and everyone was running into each other all over the place. I hit a slick spot, and my car did a complete 360. I remember that moment very clearly. I somehow held on to my cigarrette the whole time while thinking, so this is it, this is how I die. But somehow, I still don't understand how, I didn't hit anyone and the people behind me didn't hit me. It seemed impossible.
I knew Dimebag Darryl. Not well, but I knew him. I'm pretty sure he didn't even know my name. But I went to his house for a party once. If you don't know who this is, don't worry about it.

Pantera guitarist. You should have seen his house. The dining room had a pool table with purple felt, a Kiss pinball machine, posters of bands everywhere, taps for beer in the walls, his pool was shaped like something but I don't remember what. It was a pretty cool place actually. Oh, and for some reason he had like a billion cans of Healthy Choice soup in his pantry (yes we were snooping). I also remember the first time I saw him he had a purple truck with long horns on the front. We were walking in the club going, "What the hell???"
One time, as I was walking thru the club, he smacked me on the *ss saying "Hey girl!" I remember thinking, OMG what do I do??? I can't remember exactly what I did, probably giggled and walked off. I was unbelievably shy back then, I don't think I ever actually spoke to him.
He and Vinnie were always very nice. People LOVED them. I mean, guys would just TRIP OUT when they saw them. It was pretty wierd because when I first met them I had never heard of Pantera and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. I remember Vinnie saying, "You really never heard of us? Really???" (It was pretty funny.) That was probably all I ever said to him - "I never heard of you".

One strange thing.... it's a lesson I learned a long time ago...
So, You're driving down the road,
It's been misty all day....
The temperature has been going down, and it's now below freezing....
Your car starts going in directions that you aren't pointing it toward and soon after that, you find that you can see at various times both sides of the road, where you've been, and where you're about to be which is....
This bank of snow on the side of the road, which you hit and suddenly.....
You're looking out the windshield, and the world is spinning around, but the oddest thing is that the road is on top of you, and the trees and sky are beneath you..... weird.
So, you come to a stop and remember all those TV shows like Emergency and remember the law of physics that says "All inverted automobiles soon blow up:.
Now, in a rush to get out, you MUST remember this most IMPORTANT fact:
Before you press that button on your seat belt....
Firmly place your other hand on the roof.
Failure to follow this rule may result in a rather sore head and / or neck.
