I'm just feeling stressed and anxious about the holidays coming up. There's so much to do. I have to finish up my grading--I teach. Then, I have to fly out to see my parents. Traveling, Christmas shopping--there's just so much to do! Plus, seeing family over the holidays is both a blessing and a curse :). Aaaah, those lovely family dramas..... Anyone have any good suggestions on how to cope with holiday madness? :) Thanks. Lucia

Umm... dont' get too overly stressed. It won't really matter if you have to do some Christmas shopping when you get to your parents house will it? I guess one thing about my family that I can always be assured of, is that any family gathering will eventually turn into wandering the malls and chatting for hours on end. And if things don't fall into place, if they're not finshed (well maybe the grading needs to be done) it's not the end of the world. Life will still go on

Liquor may be quicker but it doesn't solve the problem. I know how you feel. Putting people toghether that haven't seen others for the past year. And trying to be grateful and sincere when someone gives you a present you really hate. Oh sometimes it can be so stressful there must be better suggestions out there. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi Phillipa! Thanks for the response and empathy! That is how it is! I'm on the first leg of visiting my parents now. In a few days, the in-laws. There are nice times when seeing family, but also tensions as well! Lucia
