i think i've learned to see auras...

Posted by alesta on December 5, 2005, at 10:28:32

i have just survived one of the toughest weeks of my life...and found a strength i didn't know i had...i feel like i'm more spiritual than ever, and think i am starting to see ppl's auras...i just had to share that. my new vivid spirituality doesn't translate well over the net..i've never been this happy with myself spiritually...things feel different...i don't know why i'm writing this or if anyone will be interested...just had to share my happiness with y'all. i am stronger than i ever thought i could be....hope this post doesn't come across wrong somehow...i get the feeling ppl aren't going to understand or think i'm weird lol. this may be my final babbleblog (new word...cool!) i don't have much exciting stuff to report anymore...i have found peace...and don't want to lose it by focusing on externals.(yowza!:)) to quote the goo goo dolls..

"I just want you to know who I am..."

peace, and hair grease...(;))

I think it's great you've found spirituality in your life. I don't have much, but I marvel at others who do. :-)

This is great news, Aim! Sometimes I think that auras are a load of b.s. and other times I think I can see them LOL... Trusting our intuition, filtering out the bad stuff, and accepting others' wisdom is what this process is all about for me. And yes, I call it spirituality too.
You sound much more peaceful with yourself than you used to, all those months ago. It is so nice to see!

thanks CS!!

<Sometimes I think that auras are a load of b.s. and other times I think I can see them LOL...

*exactly* how i thought/still think? about it...i'm not really good at it yet...but met someone the other day that i could tell was a really good spirit...(i think most ppl probably have dim auras)...it was visible around him..or maybe i'm just losing my mind lol. i was in a meeting with him and had to look at him for an extended period of time, which probably helped me to see it, and there was a white wall in the background...i'm rambling here. probably anyone could see auras if they really wanted to...or maybe it's just a figment of my imagination.:) i think it might take practice to get really good at seeing it more clearly..but i really think i saw it!!:) i haven't really taken the time yet to try to see it in other ppl...we'll see..

thank you!! i don't feel that i'm as effective a communicator online as i used to be (perhaps less interested?) but that doesn't really matter as much to me lately. i'm more engaged in the non-online world....so much to do/think about lately....:-)

aim,

I haven't seen any auras lately, but John Lennon's vocals circa 1967 are otherworldly enough. I love how his voice gets that metallic timbre that is detached and passionate at the same time.

my head is soup right now, or i'd start quoting 'relax and float downstream- it is not sleeping'(my head is really soup right now, i AM quoting).

i'm too auditory to see auras, but i feel overpowered by the sense of a person gotten through their voice. didn't lennon say 'listen to the color of your mind' (or is that 'dreams'? been about two and a half decades since i listened hard to lennon's voice, and that means listened at all, since i only listen to one voice at a time- there is so much to hear in a voice, especially one of the rare ones with something to say)- he was auditory, too.

ah, the joys of synaesthesia.

hi zee :)

yes, his voice does have a fantastic quality to it..i don't have it on cd or mp3 right now...so can't break it down at this time..:) but detached and passionate is probably an apt description..;)

<but i feel overpowered by the sense of a person gotten through their voice.

yes, same here, i do think it would be cool to hear the voices of some of those on this site, for instance.

<didn't lennon say 'listen to the color of your mind' (or is that 'dreams'? been about two and a half decades since i listened hard to lennon's voice, and that means listened at all, since i only listen to one voice at a time- there is so much to hear in a voice, especially one of the rare ones with something to say)- he was auditory, too.

yes, it's back to that 80% of communication is through body language....which includes tone of voice...very powerful. for myself, sometimes communicating online seem so foreign to how i communicate IRL....i tend to rely on my tone of voice a LOT...and smiles..and other facial expressions...as most of us do.:) i felt like i was relearning to communicate when i first came to these boards....:-) strange stuff.:) not a complicated concept, but a fascinating one...

that makes two of us.:)

alesta:)....i am trying to be incognito while typing this..hence my 'tone' may be a bit overly serious....and my words, decidedly unpoetic...

That is very, very cool. I'd like to think that I can sense things about people. Like whether or not they have negative or positive energy. I think seeing auras is a step beyond that, where you really trust your internal feelings. I hope to achieve that someday. Your post gives me hope.

yes..yes....even if we can't necessarily see other ppl's auras, i believe most of us probably can feel them...like when you instantly dislike someone...although *tons* of other variables could also determine that...but it may be the energy field that we sense. thanks for your post.:-) i think you're very sweet..you should have hope!!:)

Synaesthesia. Absent lysergic acid diethylamide (or similar), I have not had the pleasure. And, somehow, I doubt it is the same pleasure, in any case.
