Hi Deneb,

I was very sad to read that Hammy died. I'm glad you got a new hamster.

I had a hamster when I was a child, but I can't get one now. I'm afraid my cats would play soccer with it!

I won't tell the whole story, but a friend had multiple cats, a hamster -- and a hamster ball. The hamster used to chase the cats, who ran like all the demons in heck were out to get them. You'd be surprised at the unexpected dynamics involved...

Thank-you for your condolences.

Right now I'm freaking out a little bit because all my Hammie pics are still on my computer and my computer is broken. :-(

I'm still getting to know Sophie. She's a gem. :-)

I often wonder what would happen if a cat were placed next to my hamster's cage. How would my hamster react? How would the cat react?
