My favourite vegetable is broccoli! I love it with Chinese oyster flavoured sauce or stir-fried with garlic. Yummy!

I love broccoli, too! I also love it stir-fried as you described. I love Chinese-American food...the Americanized versions, anyway!
I also love cucumbers, bell peppers, and baby carrots. I love to eat baby carrots with roasted red pepper hummus - SO delicious. I like cauliflower and asparagus quite a bit, also.
I can't stand fennel - hate the stuff. I also have never warmed up to eggplant.

Jackfruit looks like Durian right? Has anybody ever tried Durian aka stinky fruit? My Mom puts the flesh straight into the freezer once she opens one up and this makes the fruit less stinky. I only like it when it is not stinky.

I've eaten jackfruit right off the tree. There was nothing stinky about it. Tastes a little like pineapple. Oh and I forgot to mention crab legs.

I love mangoes a lot. I'm also crazy about durians. I was suprised to see the name come up because not everyone has heard of them. It's goooood. Other fruits I like are fuji and braeburn apples, bananas, oh I almost forgot my all time favorite, CHERIMOYAS!!
For vegetables, I love tomatoes (is that technically a fruit?), avocados, spinach, garlic, basil and lots of others.

I don't know what cherimoyas are! I would like to try all sorts of fruits and vegetables.
Pssst...everything with a seed is technically a fruit. Yes that includes tomatoes, and cucumbers and avocado.

Deneb, you should try cherimoyas sometime. They're incredibly delicious. The fruit is white and creamy, and it tastes like pina coladas. No kidding! Here's a link on cherimoyas:

Is everything with a seed a fruit? What about pumpkins and squash?

> Is everything with a seed a fruit? What about pumpkins and squash?Yup...in terms of biology, a fruit is the ripened ovary of a flowering plant. Fruits don't need to be edible or sweet. Pumpkins and squash are definitely fruit, as are green beans and other pods.

Favourite fruit is definitely ground cherries... if only I could eat enough at a time to justify the expense. Not sure about vegetables... probably water chestnuts, if they are indeed vegetables, or broccoli, provided the right topping.

Wow, Deneb. Thanks for the info!
My healthfood store has cherimoyas right now. Do you have a good healthfood store near you? Maybe Whole Foods would have them.
