I did it!!!!!!! It was awesome, not even a little bit scary - okay when the 3.8mtr one brushed against me it was a little scary. The big sea turtles were amazing (and clumsy) and the rays were really curious. Never thought I'd be able to say I'd actually touched (or been touched by) a shark.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you're well.

that sounds awesome! The only sharks that have ever touched me were those womanizers at the local bar... all that brushing up against me "by accident"... HA !
Must have been a little overwhelming in a small fish in a big pond kind of way...am I right?
And they have their own sort of wild beauty even though theirs eyes are so black and alien-looking to us...
Wooooooow is right!

Hah! And I bet they were way slimier than the real ones!
> Must have been a little overwhelming in a small fish in a big pond kind of way...am I right? It was the first time I'd scuba dived so that took a bit of getting used too. That's the oddest thing I wasn't scared just to totally awed I guess. I didn't know that the glass on the tanks actually makes them look snmaller than they are in real life inside the tank. They are so beautiful and the turtles were brilliant and the rays were playing with the instructors. A 3ft Port Jackson shark parked herself on my hand at one point. Just plopped herself down on top of it and stayed there for like 5 minutes. Later the 13ft Grey Nurse came straight at me and at the last minute turned slightly and brushed me with a fin and then brushed my face with her side and tail, just as gentle as could be. She had these amazing tan coloured eyes, and she was very pregnant. Nothing can adequately describe the sensation of laying there over the glass tunnel and having the instructor signal that something is behind you and then having this shark glide inches over (and occassionally touching) your head. Think doing it a second time would be better as you'd be more relaxed and probably see and enjoy it more.
> And they have their own sort of wild beauty even though theirs eyes are so black and alien-looking to us...Wish I could have shared it with you Sunny, it was something. And the kind of bliss that set in afterwards was something too.
