Yes, I am so excited, 1st concert in 15 years! For my concert band, I have to be formal, long black skirt, fancy white blouse. But for the jazz band I can wear whatever I want. So since I needed clothes, because they are all too big since I lost 20 lbs. I bought these long black high heel boots, small print fishnet pantyhose, black skirt and a blue sparkly flowing shirt. Then I am going to wear some old cystal earrings. It feels good to look better. I guess I am going through my mid life crisis. LOL I want to look sexy but not sluty. LOL

The outfit sounds great! You are so excited so I am happy for you.
Is it the time spent at the gym that helped you loose 20 pounds?

Yes, working out had helped me lose some weight and working on my issues in therapy has changed my life, so no stress eating. It feels great, thanks for asking! :)

My husband is on my time about going to the gym. He needs to understand that when I come home I have 3 children to see about. I have two children of my own, but I do homework with my little cousin. ( His mom died) He struggles in school. I will try to go to aerobics on Mon., Tues, and Thurs. at 5:30.

Jeez, I had a short cornet solo at UIL competition in high school. That's the day I learned just how bad cottonmouth could get. I did okay and I bet you do too.
Sounds like you'll be looking great and you're an experienced musician. I wish I could be there.
Let's hear it for the brass section!!

I'd love to take the days off work, too. Really, I'd love to be there-I hope you have a blast.
Trumpets rule, the power of the band.

Hey, you don't expect to get the last comment in without me asking about it! LOL Is Tamar, wanting to tell us something? LOL
I am starting to get a little nervous, we have dress rehearsals tonight, and tomorrow. Yikes! Maybe I can figure out how to post pictures? Are we allowed to do that, or can we post like a website with our pictures on it? Hmmm.

Tee hee… I used to be a brass player… And yeah, I have been told my ‘embouchure’ is the best (well, first equal with you perhaps…) Although perhaps there are others out there who’d like to be included in the Pink Oboe Players' Society?

That would be awesome. I’d love to see pictures. I think the best way to do it is to put pictures on a website and put a link to it here. Or if you’re shy, tell people they can babblemail you and you’ll give them the link.

It doesn't get played much. Nearly new.

Hmm… it’s been a while since I played a new instrument. But I’m pretty sure I could get a rhythm out of it… I might have to work on the tune. If it hasn’t been played for a while it’s usually best to warm it up by holding it for a few minutes and then blowing for about a quarter of an hour, and increasing this time by playing a little longer each day. Once the instrument has had a couple of weeks to get used to the extra moisture, it can be blown daily for hours.
