I hacve a friend who is a police captain in NO, so am waiting for an address from her to send things to. I just don't trust the money funds enough right now..
I am sending a variety clothes.. adults and childrens, seperated into sealed plastic bags by size and age.
Also some kids things - colouring books and crayons are a good idea, thansk for that. I'ma lso going to include some of my beanie babies, as while I know that kind of things isn't *vital*, something to cuddle and love can help a child so much.
Some water sanatising kits..She's going to let me know what else will be useful at the moment..

> our prayers
>coloring books is an excellent idea....if it were me, i wld. want my kids to be thought of first and as a parent i know how much harder it wld. be if they had nothing to help occupy the time so games, books, toys and definately clothing and toiletries...
>right now you can actually *adopt a family* and find out in more detail what this family needs and take care of them. if everyone that were able to adopted a family, we could help more than we know!! what a way to show our love and compassion in a time of need. it could be *our* family the next time.
