What do you think about my dream?????

Posted by Dominique on August 31, 2005, at 20:44:02

While watching the devastation of the gulf on the news last night, it hit me.... I remembered a dream that I had thought weird, and told my husband about 2 weeks prior. In my dream, there was a natural disaster that was going to occur (super volcano; watched previously 1 month back on National Geo. Channel)within the next few hours and I had to hurry and prepare for it. In my dream: I ran upstairs, stuffed 2 prs of jeans, 3 tshirts, & hiking boots into my backpack. Made a 2nd trip up the stairs for a hat, and whatever money to be found, dug through a jewelry box for a compass and returned for my old grandfather's cigarette lighter. Made sure that my younger sister was packed; checked on elderly grandmother who had to stay behind b/c too old. Sister said she would stay with her b/c she was pregnant. It [the dream] was so real and weird. I knew that we had to travel fast b/c of the disaster preceeding; and had strong feeling that I were never to see some family members again.....
Is this just some crazy/freaky dream.... or a preminition of Katrina??????

One time I had a dream like that. I couldnt get to my child, mother, and husband. It was a struggle and there was disaster everywhere. About a month later I was on a business trip in Pensecola, Fl. when hurricane Aaron hit. I was trying hard to find a way to get in touch with my family. It was a struggle, and there was disaster.

When I have dreams like that or when I get a bad feeling like that. I pray. I believe that sometimes God warns us so that we pray. I was kept safe. My vehicle did not even have any busted windows... The other vehicles around mine had their windows busted.

I've had about four dreams that were SO real that I learned to begin writing those types of dreams down. So far, they have all come to pass.

I'm a Christian and believe strongly that God often speaks to us through dreams (he also did in the bible). I've been given the gift of prophecy and have had several situations like this happen.

It's possible you have a gift from God. My encouragement to you would be to keep a journal- next time you have a dream that seems to stand out and seem real, write it down and date it.

You might just be surprised to watch it come to pass.

I dream all the time. But when my youngest child was sick in the hospital Jesus came to me kind of like an apparation[wrong spelling] and told me to be strong. The same thing happened the next night. She wouldn't eat and nothing I did would work. So I let go and she got better the next day. Started to eat and went home. She was l8months old. I think I better go to Faith too. Fondly, Phillipa
