I got a haircut today and I didn't freak out!
I usually don't have good experiences whenever I have to interact with people in this way. I think I seem very strange to others.
I don't like getting my hair cut because I'm usually afraid of acting all strange because of anxiety. I say the strangest things and act like I'm dumb or something.
I did well today! I think this time I really seemed like a normal person!...Well, except for the part when my Mom came in and complained about how bad the haircut was and made the hair-cutter person re-cut my hair. :-(
Totally embarrassing...but, I was NOT so embarrassed that I could not take it. I was embarrassed, but I was OK! I didn't freak out! Wow, this must be how normal people are like! This is great!

Sounds like you did okay. I pretty much just sit there like an stone wishing it was over. Fortunately I'm way past the point of parental attendance and embarrassment (Phew).
BTW: I'm kinda seeing Dr Bob as an electric blue mowhawk kinda guy in his quieter moments - just a thought.
