I asked my soon to be nine year-old son if leprechauns were poison, and his response was, "They're not?" .. my 10 year-old daughter said "I read somewhere that they weren't" ... she'll say anything if it sounds like it might be interesting. So what's the consensus .. anyone else? Are leprechauns poison or ...?

Extensive Googling reveals no evidence of poisonousness (is that a word?). They do however appear to rather enjoy the odd feast.

They better not poison me, because damn it, I deserve that pot of gold with no penalities.

It might, do you come out at night? Wearing a little green suit? Are you ears pointed? Do you have shiny red apple-cheeks? A little red beard, bits of red curly hair poking out from under your cap? Do your eyes sparkle and shine, are you teeth straight and white ... do you drink Scotch? Is it Scotch or ... Irish Whiskey. That be the one. Ho-ho! Tap your feet together and off you go, luv. Oh, no, that's Dorothy.

With a bit of the ... blarney, is it blarney to go with the whiskey, and what's for dinner? I picture a nice hog's head, but more likely, potatoes ... and more whiskey, please.
