Class Assignment

Posted by Damos on June 27, 2005, at 19:26:13

Okay kids, I am totally useless when it comes to doing anything for myself so I need your help here. I got given a gift voucher that I have to use by November but can't accept that I deserve it let alone work out what to use it on so I'm asking for your votes. If you go to the link below and in the Gift Finder choose NSW, 0, $250, Me and Any Occasion you'll get about six pages of choices. At the moment I'm leaning toward Circus Skills. Appreciate your thoughts.

oh my,
what an AWESOME gift idea! I wonder if they have this in the USA? The circus skills looks fun and exciting. I also liked the idea of the hang-gliding, although I might be too chicken to try it. Of course the chocolate and cheese tasting things looks fun too...

Why don't you think you deserve it? I'm sure you really do! :)

Sadly just a work reward for a project I did. BTW, I couldn't paint a fence let alone anything else.

Hmmm, that'd be because it was for a project that I did. Where I really didn't do anything more than my usual appalling job. I just don't deal with success and recognition well. It so doesn't fit with my sense of myself.

I watched a mate hang glide into a cliff face and break his collar bone many years ago and that kinda put me off. Been hot air ballooning a couple of times and it's great.

Well my old man always used to tell me I was a "stupid bloody clown." so it seems kinda appropriate.

Of course you deserve it. You've had to deal with survivor guilt - they owe you!

I prefer being close to the ground and have no acrobatic ability at all, so circus skills wouldn't work.

But I'd love to check out a segway - so I'd choose the segway tour of Sydney.

And a canter across fields with the wind in my hair sounds wonderful, so I'd add in the 2 hour free range horse ride.

But that's just me.

And - thanks for the opportunity to daydream and fantisize.

Hmmm... I'd probably go for gliding or maybe the Tiger Moth ride just because I've always liked airplanes. No hang gliding, thank you! I want to be at least mostly enclosed!

But that's just me... you know your own tastes better than I would!

I would choose the scuba diving :-)

I would not for the life of me choose the "name a star" package...it is rubbish IMO. All you'll get is an expensive certificate saying that you named a star when you really didn't. Anybody could print out such a certificate. Stars are usually named using numbers and their position in the sky.

Wouldn't it be more fun to actually experience a night of observing?

Anyways, for me, I like the scuba diving package. The circus thing sounds fun too. Good luck deciding! :-)
