Hi people
I've been very busy these two days. My uncle's restaurant finally opened. I've been working from 11:30am to 10:00pm. I'm being trained as a manager because I can read English better than my uncle. Today was very busy at lunch time, but I was able to handle it! :-) You guys should've seen me, I was super fast at cash! Everyone else had to keep up with me. Hehe, I'm good.
I had to learn to speak really loudly because I have to call out all the orders for the cooks. I didn't get anxious today (except when someone stood over my shoulder watching me...then I would mess up :-( )
Anyways, I'm going to be working 6 days a week. My uncle really needs me there, I'm really important. I don't know how things are going to work on my day off (Sun.) I don't think my aunt will ever be ready to work the cash...she barely understands English and cannot really speak it.
My feet are killing me, I hope I get used to it soon. It's not that bad though. I'm getting less anxious about work as I work more.
Hehe, now I'm relaxing with a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream...it's yummy (except when I drink it too fast and don't dilute it with ice, then it gets yucky).
Oh ya, I decided to spend some money the day before I started work...I had wanted to buy an iPod mini (blue colour), but I saw a flyer sawing that the Creative Zen micro was on sale and included some free speakers...so I bought it! The blue colour of the Zen micro isn't as pretty as the iPod mini, but it's still very stylish. :-) Hehe, I love it! I only wish I had to travel longer on the bus. lol

Deneb, congrats on doing so well at work! :) That's cool & exciting. I bet it's nice to be recognized for your strengths, right?
Can you get a pair of really comfy shoes? I like gym shoes (Nikes or New Balance is my fave) if I"m on my feet a lot. I also put in a Dr. Scholl's or similar foot-pad-cushion-thingie. Those REALLY seriously help. I love them! They make a HUGE difference, even in dress shoes.
Anyway, congrats again on doing so well! :)
JenStarPS - I also love Bailey's!

it's a wonderful feeling to know you're the best at something and it sounds like there are several areas there where you are the best! congratulations!
