Hey everyone,
It's been a really long time since I posted here, so most of you probably don't know me, but.... well I'm not actually new.
Anyways, I was just wondering... does anyone else feel really bored with life? That's pretty much how I feel lately. Lithium has mellowed out my mood, so I'm less suicidal and agitated and upset and flipped out. But now I just feel bored, like life is extremely dull. I know part of this is probably just something I need to work on-- like I need to find more interesting and engaging activities to fill up my time. I know I need more friends, especially locally. But I don't feel excited about anything really. It's sort of like I'm not really interested in life, although I don't feel actively suicidal.
By the way, I wouldn't really say this is a NEW feeling, but it has kind of increased lately, also probably because I'm not in school now, which frees up a lot more of my time.

...but I've since discovered that there is *so* very much to explore.
If you don't feel up to socializing very much or going anywhere new, try experiencing things in a different way.
Today I went to the grocery store, I saw some pineapples. Instead of just passing by them because I don't want to buy any, I decide to stop. I look at the pineapples carefully, it's leaves, it's spiny rough surface...I inhale it's fragrance...it is wonderful. Just one pineapple...to truly observe it requires all of my senses and lots of time. From there, I could have done much more to more accurately describe the pineapple...like cut it up, look at sections under a microscope, etc. etc. Just studying one pineapple could take many many days.
I was similarily amazed by the other fruits and vegetables at the store. A seemly boring day turned into an adventure for me. Maybe you too can stop, slow down and really try to experience life with all of your senses. It helps me when I'm bored. :-)

It's totally ok!
Sometimes I make a grammar error and don't bother to fix it because 1) an ex of mine was such a grammar snob and 2) nobody here cares about that. My ex seriously kinda looked down on that didnt talk and write correctly - I shoulda knew he was a jerk. I feel freedom when I make a mistake and don't HAVE to fix it. Honestly, who cares?
This is the end of the thread.
