up in the morning. Usually, she comes into my room and sits by the bed snuffling/sighing to get my attention and get me up. This morning, she came in, sat down by the bed and belched - LOUD. How charming!! She has absolutely no class!
Sorry to be gross.

LMAO!!!!!
My digglet doesn't wake me with a belch, just a cold wet nose gently lent against mine (cold but not wet). But she has just in the last couple of days discovered that she can burp. I was sitting watching tv and she came over hopped up on the lounge and looked lovingly into my eyes and with a big dog smile gave me a sneaky little burp. And how pleased with herself did she look? VERY.

Your dog is such a character! But I have to say that it sounds better than being woken up by a sharp cat's claw!

lol. Mine likes the nose bit. I sleep on my tummy or on my back facing the other way, so she gets to where my jammy tops ride up and sticks her nose there to see how high I can jump.

>That's too funny. That'll surely get you out of bed! Animals can be so smart sometimes.

I used to have a dog -- "Aunt Daphne" AKA Fanny -- who had a burp that sounded like Michigan J. Frog's croak. Booorrrpp. She was this tan Great Dane / Labrador mix. About the size of a large male labrador, but she had the Great Dane markings on her face. She always looked worried. That's how Daphne morphed into "Aunt Daphne." I miss her a lot.

LMAO, mine does that too!!! And, yes, it is disgusting. She's so funny that when she f*rts, I swear she gets this disgusted on her face and glares at ME like I am the one that did it!!!! Then she gets up, sneezes about 3 or 4 times (a bad habit she does when she is ticked or isn't being the centre of attention when guests are over) and moves to another part of the house. I was warned when I got her that she would be a bit "odd", and she never ceases to amaze me with her idiocyncracies.Tamara

But I'm just enough smarter.
When she started doing it several times a night, I wised up to the fact that she wasn't in desperate need of the facilities, just bored.
Two nights of ending up in the crate, and she was pretty much cured. Now she just does it occasionally, and I figure it is genuine.

I love hearing other people's pet stories :-) I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes I don't know what I would do without my kooky little pooch. Our pets have a way of bringing a smile to our faces even during the times when we don't think it is possible to smile.

Good for you! You showed her who is the boss. Now if I could just convince my cats that I'm the boss....
