wow, i had no idea! i had a gumby growing up and his little internal wires broke from too many posings. i put him in a full body cast of plaster of paris. he never really recovered. he lived out the remainder of his life in a lunch box tucked in with handkerchiefs.

Gumby is single-handedly responsible for every time I missed the school bus when I was a little'un. Even after I'd outgrown them, they were still so cool.
Gumby rules!

I've got the funniest cartoon clipped-out and stuck on my fridgie. It's Gumby and Pokie, wearing dreadlocks and standing on a palm-fringed beach. The caption says "Gumbemon and Pokemon".

That's hilarious!!! Poor Gumby :-( My younger brother had a little stuffed Snoopy that experienced a debilitating accident from which he, unfortunately, never recovered LOL. My brother refused to give up the little guy, so he made a little snoopy convalescent home for him in his desk drawer. In spite of his injuries, Snoopy lived to a ripe old age LOL.
