solving post relat loneliness and low self-esteem

Posted by alesta on May 10, 2005, at 13:58:02

breaking up sucks y'all. and my self-esteem sucks. truly.:(

i feel tempted to do something a bit drastic/wild..like put on my blue dress and blue pumps and go to a bar and make out with some random guys..i'm not a slut, i just really miss having a guy..but i don't want a relationship. i know it just takes time, but the bar idea might be a nice adjunct...does that sound like a bad idea?? i am open to any suggestions..i just feel so wretched...

and i used to be so stable and self-controlled...<sigh> madness..i tell you..

...uhhh, would that be without guys, or without her legs?!! ;-)

(sorry, couldn't resist, it's a shameless self-therapy technique I use Babble for when I've been a bit down and am starting to do better...I think it's called terrible humor imposed on the masses to crack myself up....forgive me, everyone...)

(..and PS - no offense intended to anyone seriously missing any limbs....I was just word-playing...)

I don't think you need a guy to have some fun :-)
I wish we could go to the bar together...I've never been to a bar before. It would be very exciting for me :-)...I could try out some fancy drinks...I've only had a peach schnapps. I tried beer once...it was yucky to me.

I hope you feel better Amy :-)

it would be exciting to me, too, to try new drinks and whatnot..amy:)

Me too!...esp. with the nice people here :-) Meeting people IRL is very hard to me to do. Meeting people here IRL might be easier for me, since I can get to know people here first.

>you don't happen to live anywhere near DC or Virginia do you?

Nope, unfortunately. I live in Ottawa, Ontario...up in Canada. It'll be quite a long drive to get to DC...that is, if I could drive :)
Still gotta get my license...I just had ONE more driving lesson to do...totally wimped out...couldn't handle the anxiety!...total FEAR!

>it would be nice to have a friend IRL to party with..this internet chat stuff leaves you kinda high and dry (spesking for meself)..man..i need to get out!

Agreed! I need to get myself some friends IRL...it would be great if they can know the online me...then they might be able to wait for this me to come out. :-)

Yep...much more fun with a friend too. I'm curious about this "polar bear?" type drink my sister raved about. It's supposed to taste like chocolate and mint? Hehe, there's so much I haven't experienced in life yet...

I hope you feel much better...it's fun to chat :)

Take care (((Amy)))
