Fran Drescher

She's on "ellen" .. two people I really enjoy ... Drescher is smart but acts dumb but it's not really dumb, her brain is always there. SHe's funny and both of them together feel good ... she's had some terrible tragedy in her life, too.

Ellen is one of the funniest people on tv. I love watching her show. She just cracks me up.

Her humor is unique.

But I'msorry I am not a fan of Fran.. Her voice just annoys me to no end..

EECK.. Just thinking about reminds me of nails on a chalkboard.

I adore Fran Drescher. I think I have a nonsexual crush on her.

I've found the endless reruns of "The Nanny" on one of the cable channels to be just right as background to work. Except that they were the cause of several episodes of that weakness in my right hand. lol. Thank heavens for Tivo - I have an endless supply. :)

And yes, she has dealt with a lot. She appears to have a strong sense of who she is and what she believes, and I admire that an awful lot.

She wrote a book and put out a tape about her experience with cancer as well as the rapes ... I'm going to search for them at the library now, and listen again .. she narrates the tapes herself .. she's a lovely person.
I love her accent too, but then, I'm a person who takes a great deal of pleasure in sound, including human voices and I love ANY accent.

Ummm, just to be clear. The weakness in my right hand is something that my doctor says is not carpal tunnel. But that I've noticed seems to come on when I laugh extra hard, and I find The Nanny funny. It happened the other day when I yawned. And is not uncommon when I first wake up. I'm going to assume it's something to do with my hand though, because the idea that it is something to do with my brain is less agreeable.

Ummm, anyway, it doesn't mean I'm using my right hand when I watch The Nanny, except to type for work.

Hey, I think I've finally learned a thing or two about how to interact with people. You know why?

Because I'm actually NOT going to say, Dinah, that I'm not sure I understand this clearly, and to please explain what you were worried we thought it meant you were doing...

>>Ummm, anyway, it doesn't mean I'm using my right hand when I watch The Nanny, except to type for work<<

Nope. Not gonna say that to you. ;-)

Well, it was brought to my attention that what I said could be misconstrued.

And although I'm fonder than most of relatively innocent innuendo when intended (hence my fondness for The Nanny), I am utterly mortified when it is unintended. :)

This brought to mind The Contest episode of Seinfeld. I thought that was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. So clever that guess what! I just had to share that, and the episode of Rugrats called The Slide, with my parents the next time they came over. Eeeek. Talk about excruciating.

However, both shows became great favorites of my father.

In a really funny twist, another of my father's favorite shows was Everybody Loves Raymond, and his favorite character was Peter Boyle's.

The character could have been modelled after my father. Even looked like him. :)
