So tired

Posted by Dinah on April 4, 2005, at 21:49:46

I can come up with tons of rational explanations for why I'm so darned tired.

But maybe it's just because I've been doing this for twentyfive years, and after twenty or so years doing this, you just start to get tired.

Or maybe not.

Dinah:

I'm tired, too. But I keep plowing through because there's no logical alternative. And as I accomplish something, even if "trivial", I'm grateful that I'm still in motion. Maybe, that's enough.

I feel tired today too.
It is a feeling that comes and goes.
Sometimes life just seems so tiring...
Same old same old...
But it isn't always like that.
Depression talking??

Can you lay down and rest? Give up for a day and just free float? Sometimes fighting the good fight gets you nothing but tired.

Eventually, even the best shopper grows weary and sits for a mocha and cinnamon roll. I wish for you a warm one...

A couple of weeks ago I took a day off because I was feeling very out of sorts. I dawdled, and read, and ended up doing a huge number of chores. But because I had taken myself "off the clock", it was a really restful day.
My mom used to let me take these when I was in school. She'd call them Mental Health days, and I didn't understand why until now.

Take it easy, Dinah.

I'm not even sure depression is the answer

I think I'm just getting old and tired and my body's not cooperating. And I'm flat burned out by the fits and starts of a high stress job.

I just can't rise to the occasion anymore.

But maybe that's perfectly normal at my age. I have to consider that possibility. Which would mean things are never going to get better, and most probably will get worse.
