Oh yes, my hair is so much shorter now, I look like I did when I was fourteen, I was the geekiest kid you've ever seen, even my daughter who loves me dearly, and tries to be just like me in so many ways, looks up to me, even, even she told me I looked geeky and weird when I was a kid. Yup, I was the ugliest kid in school.
I don't think I look so ugly today though, right now I mean, except I'm a bit worried this is the start of the haircutting thing again. Oh well. I have to try and be sane about it.

Well Susan, short is fantastic on alot of people.
I, on the other hand, went off the deep end last week after my outburst post here, and one of the many things I did was shave my head. And yes, I mean "kojak" shaved. It's starting to grow back, but to go from what I was, which was past shoulder length, to "normal short" a couple of months back, and now bald, is a pretty big swing.
And nope, no kidding here, nor exageration. My wife was ready to send me to the hospital on the basis of my hairstyle alone.

You might come to love it. I've had my hair every which way. I've had it halle berry short, bob length, shoulder length, platinum, chocolate, black. Just remember, it's only hair. It'll grow back. Susan - one plus is that short hair can be easier to style if you have the right product(very important) - just ask your hair stylist or someone with a short style you like. Broken, I'm guessing you're a guy so I don't know what to tell you except that no one who doesn't know you will think anything of your new 'do. And, it'll grow back quickly into a short guy cut quickly. Good luck folks!

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear well thank god you're male anyway. Did you actually use an electric shaver to do the deed? I don't have one, that's probably a good thing. :-) I hope you're feeling better this week. I hope you're feeling a bit better. Maybe you need a spanking, or a whipping, instead of a shave, next time. ;-)

I know last time this happened it got shorter every day or two. But maybe, I think maybe this time I can control myself.

lol.. the spanking and/or whipping is an interesting thought.
To be perfectly honest, when I had my dog, I bought some electric pet shears. That's what I used. Finished it off with a conventional Gillette razor. There was no intent to do it 5 minutes before I did it, it just happened.
Ofcourse, I made the promise to go back to seeing my Dr. again, appointment is next Friday.
PM80,
you're right. I have taken some abuse from my co-workers over it this week, but that was to be expected. Anyone new wont know the difference. Those that do know me just comment on how I went from one extreme to the other.

so, honey, other than the fact that you have short hair now, what is it that was bothering you in the first place???
What led you to pick up the scissors this time? Can we try to help?

Your post brings me to an interesting observation. I don't think I've ever noticed whether I have an urge to cut my hair and that sends me to do it, or whether it's usually when I'm in the process of doing it in the morning. I'll have to pay closer attention. Because that may be a key to controlling it. Gee, thanks!

Well, it's really really important to me, it's something huge, and important and I'm scared to talk about it because I don't want to upset anybody or set myself off. So let's just go with that for now, because I'm really really kind of very scared, I'm actually terrified of controlling/manipulating/rejection. I don't know, I really just don't know. It's okay. Thanks, Sunny.

This thread combined with the most recent "writing" worries me a great deal too.
Please take care Susan.
