I am grateful for...
1. This place and the incredible amount of support I get from my special friends here.
2. jyl - whose emails and poetic words never fail to express empathy, solidarity, humour, and acceptance. We need an entire world of her!
3. Having a supportive workplace that accommodates my requirements for multiple doctors' appointments, without complaint or prejudice.
4. My husband. 'Nuff said there.
5. My kitty Psycho who became very affectionate during my sick leave, and now deigns to curl up beside me on the sofa every evening.
6. Music - that lifts my spirits, that makes me cry with sorrow, that lets me sing along while I drive or cook.
7. Being healthy. Pretty much.
8. Being able to work full time.
9. Being able to travel as much as I do (going to Italy in September, hooray! - and of course, the Babble Birthday in June, fingers crossed)
10. Being able to read (even if it's not possible at the moment, when I can I do everything possible to make up for lost time).OK - that was tough. Anyone else?

Today I feel like I can do some of this.
(1) - My daughter and I are finding new love and fun and respect, caring and closeness in our relationship
(2) - I know I can find that for my youngest son and myself too
(3) - My oldest son and I are healing well
(4) - I can see the same thing happening for my father and myself
(5) - This is getting scary but I'm going to try for at least one more.
(6) - Hmmm .. thinking... I feel comfortable enough with myself to be able to post on these boards
(7) - There's another one, this is awesome, this one is my day today, I'm grateful that I have a good day to look forward to
(8) - It's not perfect, but even though I have to rely on something to start me to feel good, I actually CAN feel good, and that's good :)
(9) - I'm actually getting there, almost a ten... I like the way I look when I'm really happy
(10) - I like the way I AM when I'm really happy
(11) - Omigod this is awesome, I found out it's okay to love the idea of men who sail, because my dad was a sailor, an awesome sailor, and I find that sailing men are incredibly sexy and down-to-earth people, and that's Okay, because I can do it too, I can learn to sail and it's okay. If I want to. And if I don't want to, that's okay as well. I can still love the idea of sailing without being an actual sailor, or I can just dip my toes, so to speak, and really really enjoy those experiences, and not make it my life. Although I'd really like to make it my life. I really would.
