Just when all the snow had gone away, more is beginning to fall. I like the snow, I just hate
"snow days". Love being home with the kids, but without a babysitter lined up, it complicates my work schedule and therapy appointments. Luckily, I have tomorrow off, and my T has already rescheduled to Friday (if school is indeed cancelled), so maybe we'll go sledding.
And do some organizing around the house! Fun, fun, fun.

HAHAHA ARE YOU KIDDING? I hate snow but am glad my dog is no longer dragging MUD into my house. Our snow started last night and continues on and on and on eeeeek...Thank God we were both home today and hubby was crazy enough to drive us to town to shop, rent movies and go to McD...he even got me strawberries :) I was glad to be home as the roads are not good. I would have been happy for the temps and 2 inches of snow to stop all the mud. Tomorrow...I stay in again....and read a book I got :) STAY OFF THE ROADS THE E-WAY is even bad

Sounds like a good plan. I'm enjoying my current book "Entering Normal", but it's not about normal as a state of mind, rather a town. If the kids are home, I won't have much luck reading.
Unless of course I build my alone time into the bargain: sledding for an hour, then mom gets some time to relax. I'm all for school being open tomorrow. Cross your fingers!! (I think you live further west than me, I'm north of the big city).

i love snow days..
i was threatened years ago by the school board for keeping the kids at home too often..
i just cant get enough of them...
normal week days are filled with lessons, pressures from the outside..
i like a nice fire and popcorn...movie after movie..no place to go.
perhaps a nice spicy beef stew..

JYL the beef stew sounds good but as I do not have kids I cannot imagine being snowed in with them :P ummmm, and a fire I miss my fireplace....I'd like the stew and the fire save all this snow please lol :)

Yeppers, the snow is still coming down. And best of all, both of my kids slept in. Normally, their automatic clock wakes them, but with the holiday break fresh in their brains, I caught a break.
I liked justyourlaugh's idea of a movie. Less work than sledding. But I think we'll try to do both. My husband said the driving wasn't too bad.
And I've heard good things about "Finding Neverland". And a fire is always a grand idea on a cold winter day/night. The kids like to roast marshmellows (me too). What will you be up too? I'm so happy my T called me yesterday and rescheduled for Friday.

Well, I should/could have accomplished so much today, but I didn't. Did get to some laundry (still need to fold & sort), did some kitchen chores, but mostly, hung out with the kids. The "Finding Neverland" movie was excellent, pass the tissue! My daughter and son kept wiping away my tears. And they had some time out in the snow, never made it to the sledding hill. Instead ran a few errands, sipped hot chocolate and I found some time to read. Looks like tomorrow they'll be back to school, and I, back to work. Instead of spending time on the computer, I just wish I got more done.

Yesterday we had freezing rain and everywhere was a sheet of ice for cars and pedestrians. They showed on the 6:00 news, people trying to walk but all they were doing was slip sliding away. Car accidents were being called in every 90 seconds. They had to make temporary collision reporting centers because of the volume. Today, in contrast it is quite balmy. The weather is crazy everywhere.

AG-
Fallen and I live about 1 hour a part, so we are experiencing the same silly weather (she gets it first).
Whereabouts are you from? We're from the midwest.
