Right, who's making such bloody row out there? Oh, it's you, Alex. Should I put the kettle on the boil or should we dive straight for the Bushmill's? Atticus

Too bad I can't pass you a shot of the Bushmill's, luv -- damn fine Irish whiskey. Here, Phil, have a snort. Ease the pain from your encounter with the ceiling fan. I told you not to use those old lawnmower blades when you built it. Right. Did you see the punk rock song I wrote for Sabrina. It arose from her post about her problem with "restless buttocks," which I thought would make a great name for a band. Atticus

Alas, I did not know what Bushmill's was...
No, I have not encountered that one.
I used to write. Terribly, to be sure. But it was fun.
But then a couple of weeks ago I just couldn't anymore. Even witty banter escapes me. Yours makes me laugh. But I am... melancholic or something...No fair.
I'll take a swig...

OK, here's a link to the lyrics of Sabrina's song. She's passing them on to her young brother-in-law's punk band to see if they'll put them to music:

>>>Boy, was you ever right on that. Them blades ain't go no elasticity. Nope, they're sharpened steel. Hurt like all git out.

>>I haven't seen the song yet but would like to express a strong desire to meet Sabrina.
It beats my "Local Anesthetics" band name all to heck. It paints a picture..it's touching.

She got rest--less buttocks,
Put major mojo moves on you,
She got rest--less buttocks,
Clear the way, let 'er through,That's Jerry Lee Lewis material all the way. Maybe Little Richard.

Aye, Restless Buttocks is a bit sentimental and old-fashioned. I bet Sinatra and the Rat Pack would've done a cover of it. Atticus

how about: Pat Boone, Ricky Nelson, or Enya? Madonna would snatch it up.
I wonder how muzak would have a go at it....
playing as we are shopping in the grocery store, "should I get the pork loin or the rump roast?"this song reminds me of a poem I wrote about the same area of the backside of the body where it bends, folds, tucks, dimples, puckers and rests for great periods of time.
Loved the song.
everyonce in a while I can hear people humming the tune....

I'd have loved to have given the Ramones the lyrics to "Restless Buttocks" and have had them compose a buzzsaw melody that would rip through the thing in their usual two-minute-long song, full-throttle, rocket-in-a-bottle manner. Anyway, now both you and Sabrina have had their cabooses immortalized on PB. And I've learned how bloody easy it is to write a punk song. Right, I know it's not exactly The Clash or Elvis Costello, but for the first time out of the box, it gets the job done. Ta. ;) Atticus
