Let's make a pact...no swearing at customers...to their face that is. as soon as they go around the corner....let it all hang out.
I think our store should have a room we can go to beat on a punching bag.
People are asking questions that drive me up a wall.

" Do you think my -----(you fill in the blank) would like this lotion, eye pillow, dish?"
I hate giving advice about holiday presents.
good luck today.
I am grumpy already.
Jai

Ah yes today a woman slapped a catalogue down on the counter, said "I don't suppose you have this item, do you? Everytime I come in here *you people* disappoint me, you never have what's pictured in the catalogue, I don't know why I keep coming back but I do" well I apologized to her and she walked away without even waiting to get help with what she wanted (two of us were right there, QUITE ABLE to help her if she'd given anybody the opportunity) and she walked away, the bit just needed to let off steam and we were the nearest gateway to heaven for her.
But my people skills have never been better.

"I don't suppose you have this item, do you?"

Okay that's a really negative way to ask for help. It feels like a set up. Why do people ask for help like that? I have heard it so often. It makes me cringe when I hear it.
good luck...we are coming into the stretch of the Turkey day food fest.
I am flat out working now.
The next big jump it....x-mas.
Jai who is sleepless in Vermont

It's a zoo it's a zoo it's a zoo where I work and I have a hard time getting my head straight when I'm at home AND I seem to be exposed to every bug out there.
My feet hurt.

hi Susan,
sorry you had to work with jerks! I hate that too.

Thanks for missing me - I feel special. :) I've been busy with work and will probably continue to be so for the next week or two. But I still check in when I can!

hope you're well...take care!
JenStar
